Empowering Youth for Peacebuilding: AYF Liberia Launches Digital Literacy Awareness Campaign in Local Communities and High Schools

In its continued efforts to empower young people as drivers of peace and change, the African Youth Fellowship (AYF) Liberia has launched a Youth Digital Literacy Awareness Campaign, targeting communities and high schools as part of its broader Digital Empowerment for Peacebuilding and Advocacy Program.

The awareness campaign, centered on the growing need to equip young Liberians with digital skills, recently engaged youth from the 12th Street and 13th Street communities in Montserrado County. With the internet becoming a critical space for advocacy, mobilization, and civic engagement, AYF Liberia is stepping in to ensure that young people, especially in underserved communities, are not left behind in the digital age.

This initiative is being implemented under the Youth Promotion Initiative (YPI) project, a youth-focused intervention supported by UN Women, UNFPA, the Peacebuilding Fund, and the United Nations Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner (OHCHR). The YPI project is coordinated nationally by Accountability Lab Liberia.
