On this International Youth Day, AYF Youth Magazine recognizes Mr. Adihamu Gram
Karneh, a dedicated youth leader committed to advancing gender equality and empowering young women in Liberia.

Holding two bachelor’s degrees in Management Information Systems and Electronic
Information Engineering, along with professional training in ICT, policy advocacy, and
leadership, Mr. Adihamu Gram Karneh combines technical expertise with a passion for
community service. As former Communications Director of Sister Aid Liberia, he played
a pivotal role in advocating for the 30% Gender Quota Law, coordinating capacity
building, mentorship, and campaign support that enabled many women to take up
leadership positions in their communities.
Through initiatives such as the Women Political Empowerment and Leadership Clinic
and the Young Women Entrepreneurs Bootcamp, He has mentored dozens of young
women and girls, equipping them with skills in leadership, policy engagement, and
entrepreneurship. His efforts have not only strengthened women’s voices in governance
but also contributed to peacebuilding and sustainable development.
Driven by the vision of empowering 10,000 young women and girls to become self-
sufficient leaders, Karneh believes that change is built through consistent action and
community-rooted collaboration. His personal motto, “No expectations; no
disappointment,” reflects his resilience and determination to create lasting impact.
Mr. Adihamu Gram Karneh’s story is an inspiring reminder that when young people take the
lead, communities thrive, and a more inclusive future becomes possible.
Join us in celebrating this rising star!
