Meet Ms. Shiphrah Kenemassa Saydee – Executive Director, Your Friendly Coaching, Mentoring, and Consultancy (YCMC)

Ms. Shiphrah Kenemassa Saydee is a dedicated and inspiring leader whose mission is to
empower Liberia’s youth through mentorship, career guidance, and advocacy for social
justice. With a B.A. Degree in Sociology and as a current master’s candidate at Cuttington
University School of Graduate and Professional Studies, Ms. Saydee combines strong
academic credentials with a deep passion for community development and youth
empowerment.
As the Executive Director of Your Friendly Coaching, Mentoring, and Consultancy (YCMC),
She leads with a clear and powerful vision: to help young people, especially high school
students, overcome uncertainty and indecision about their futures. Through her leadership,
YCMC offers invaluable coaching and mentoring programs that nurture confidence,
emotional intelligence, and career readiness. Her approach is rooted in collaboration, active
listening, and conflict resolution, essential skills she believes form the foundation of effective
leadership and sustainable change.
Ms. Saydee’s remarkable journey began in 2017 when she served as Secretary General of
the Teenage Sensitization Program. She co-led a pioneering initiative in the Elwa Palm
Bush Community to combat rising teenage pregnancy rates. By engaging both teenage girls
and boys in education about pregnancy prevention, the campaign successfully reduced
pregnancy cases, improved school retention, and fostered a spirit of unity and shared
responsibility within the community. This early success ignited Ms. Saydee’s passion fortransformative change and inspired her lifelong dedication to mentoring the next generation.
Her commitment to peace and growth stems from her own lived experience. Having
benefited greatly from mentorship, she is driven by the firm belief that empowering youth is
key to shaping a brighter future for Liberia and beyond. She lives by her personal motto, “I
believe I can do it,” and draws motivation from the wise words of former President Ellen
Johnson Sirleaf:
“The size of your dreams must always exceed your current capacity to achieve them. If your
dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough.”
Join us in celebrating this rising star!
Happy International Youth Day!
